Great antique condition.
This axe is a Telemark Bile ax, and are from 1880-1900s, and are an antique item.
This ax is signed by the artist with the letters ST.
The previous owner has made a beatiful new handle on this ax.
If you collect or use such in traditional buildings, this is something to consider.
The ax is stamped with which blacksmith has made this, but difficult and readable. The ax is as it was when it was found in an old barn in Telemark.
