Norwegian traditional rose painted bowl, Beautifully rose painted and and signed Bokleivi 1988 from Telemark. This is a large bowl that is beautifully painted.
bowl is rose painted with the colors blue-red-green-orange-white-black, the outside of the bowl is dark red and green with a center decorative line of black color.
The text on the outside of the bowl is translated to (It's a sunny day in Norway with the sun on the summit and glitter of gold in the clouds. In the valleys, a morning winds and whispers of a new time.) written in Old Norwegian.
Areas of use: can be hung on the wall or used as table decoration.
This bowl is in very nice vintage condition, it has a minor spot underneat the bowl that are missing some paint.
